We would love to meet you!

Victor Lewis | Managing Partner

Victor has been in the insurance industry since 1985. He retired from a Fortune 500 insurance company, where he served on its Executive Advisory Council and ranked in the top 2% of his field. Victory designed a fully functional HRIS program to assist HR with employee onboarding and online enrollments. His HRIS program minimizes disruptions to the workforce normally experienced during the enrollment process.

Victor has been married for 45 years and lives in the Richmond area. He has two adult kids and four grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, especially to Fort Davis, Texas, cooking, woodworking, and most of all, having available time to spend with family and ministering to others. Victor’s faith is very important to him, and his deep spiritual relationship with God is, as he says, “what makes me ‘me.’” Victor is also known for rocking his Stetson open-road cowboy hat. Can you find it in the CSA logo? It is a “tip of the cap” to Victor as a co-founder.

Robert Copeland | Managing Partner

Robert is relatively new to the insurance business but not new to serving and caring for others. He was in the ministry for 20 years, holding two degrees in Christian Studies. In his previous church, Robert served as pastor of Small Groups/Men’s Ministry, where he was responsible for recruiting and training leaders for 50+ small groups, in which those leaders led 500+ people. Robert also has had the opportunity to be the guest speaker at various events over the last 20 years and in his free time still enjoys doing so today. He is excited about his new adventure in insurance and passionate about serving and building relationships with his clients and growing Common Sense Approach.

Robert has been married for 14 years, has two kids, and lives in Friendswood. Robert is one of those annoyingly proud Texans and loves all things Texas. He loves being outside, great BBQ (eating and smoking), fishing, serving on the Ranching and Wildlife Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and cheering for the Astros, Texans, and UMHB Crusaders (where he played football and met his wife). His relationship with the Lord, his wife, his kids, and ministering to others are all top priorities and non-negotiables for him.

Our story

Victor Lewis and Larry Maroney were leaders and trainers, and they even wrote some of the training material for the Fourtne 500 insurance company they both worked for. Over the years, they developed a great friendship, and upon retiring, they both continued to pursue adventures in the insurance field. One truth they both passionately believe is that healthcare insurance is the most overcharged and underserviced industry out there. They wanted to be part of the solution to change that trend. Victor and Larry’s 35+ years of experience in the healthcare industry would help them identify practical solutions that work. Solutions that “Make Sense.”

CSA understands the struggles experienced by small to medium-sized businesses. Roughly 96% of businesses in the US have under 50 employees, and many healthcare brokers focus mainly on larger companies. Although CSA loves working with larger companies, we have a huge heart for the 2-49-person groups. No matter the size, CSA was built upon the standard of giving care and attention to your business. We are in the relationship business and happen to be very knowledgeable and networked in the healthcare industry!

In 2023, Robert Copeland joined the team as an Operating Partner, and Larry retired from managing to consulting on the CSA Advisory Board. Larry and his wife live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

We have a great team at CSA! If you are interested in adding CSA to your portfolio or joining the CSA team as an Associate, we’d love to talk with you. Reach out to learn more. We respect agents' independence. Our philosophy in our Broker Relationships is, “You are in business for yourself—not by yourself.”
